Hey! When and what is going to take place at May Day? Just curious. I want to promote it--and fit it in with what I'm planning. I am planning the 1988 1989 1990 cluster reunion that will take place April 18 in the evening. Also working on an AGD mini reunion that will take place around lunchtime for the AGD from 1986 - 1993.....please let me know either here or the FB group when you get a chance....or email me.

I really find it sad that the Greek life is suffering or in any case that you join chapters to "buy your friends." I attended Brenau 3 or 4 years ago and definitely found the Greek life to be most inviting. Coming to a new school and not knowing a soul made it very pleasant to meet new people and to be welcomed into a new town and so forth. I secretly loved as a student learning the history of my school and especially my sorority. I do believe that the sorority life and school practices is what keeps Brenau alive; I'm not obsessed with Greek life by any means but do find it important in becoming the woman you hope to be.-And it's fine that it may not be for all- but I do believe that it is for most. I do though feel especially blessed to come from such a small chapter at Brenau and know all of my sisters. (that's not something you find in many places) I do believe that Breanau could use a bit of a "face lift" but it's so nice to find a school that still appreciates the same values as it did many years ago. It's one of a kind!

If Schrader wants us to be so much like UGA, then why isn't he pushing greek life. It is one thing that links us to just about every other school. Even though our chapters are a lot different, it is still a common thread. I am Greek and enjoy every minute of it (even the rough ones) We also need to get over this "I don't wanna buy my friends" thing because that is not what Greek life is about, but it is something that a lot of the girls feel. It's weird to see how much smaller the chapters are now because people aren't interested. The campus used to be almost entirely Greek and now the Greek woman is a dying breed.
